So I have been sick from poisoning and out of blogging for a few years. As of today (Saturday, October 4th, 2014) the site has [size=13px]Alexa.com[/size] global ranking of 4,485,474 which according to them is up 2,513,574 just for the week I have been rehabbing the site and putting new content and finding a good theme  and other activities.  So I was wondering how to increase the [size=13px]Alexa.com[/size] ranking and what better way then succeed or go bust in public, so I’ll share what I do as I do it with screenshots, if it doesn’t work, then you know not to do it, if it does pick and chose and follow some of what I did and hopefully you will have good or even better results.TIPS ON HOW TO BOOST ALEXA RANKINGThere are just tips that I’m putting here to guide in the journey, they might not be true and I’m in the process or learning and testing this. When I’m all done I’ll publish what I think is an optimal way, so for now take all these tips with a grain of salt. If you have tried something that worked and don’t mind sharing, I would love to hear about it below in the comment box (Thanks). Now the tips:– Increase traffic. That is a no brainer so I’m working on that all the time.– Use proper keywords. I have a few links to the keyword tools and I’m checking them so I’m using the ones relevant to the blog posts.– Install Alexa Toolbar. Here’s the link: [size=13px]http://www.alexa.com/toolbar[/size]– Install the Alexa rank widget on your site– Create back-links to your site.– Create and link from social media sites (the relevant ones).– Increase content regularly. Getting my site deleted and being gone for years (sick) didn’t help. Now I need to remedy this.– Make your content sharable. I’m still working on finding the best plugin to share with social sites.– Optimize your images. I’m now focused on how I name my images before I upload them also on their size and speed of loading as well as image meta data.– Create and submit a site-map. I just completed this for Google and Bing webmaster tools but might do it for other sites later.I’ll add more as I learn. Ok., so book-mark this post so you can follow along as I make progress. What was done?– Applied for Google Adsense and it’s installed now and working.
– Added a few more back-links.
– Posted 2 or 3 blog posts
– Added a page.That’s about it. So what I plan to do is from time to time take a look at Alexa and what it does to the ranking of the sites as I create more content and more people link tot he site, and I get guest blogger, reviews or other activities.My gut feeling is the numbers are not accurate but I have been wrong and in this case I might be wrong, so lets test is and see what we got.ALEXA RANKING ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9TH 2014:
So what was done?– Few more comments on 3 or 4 forums I’m a member at
– Did a few comments with links on blogs that I follow in my RSS reader app
– Opened one more Web 2.0 account put an article and linked back.
– One new post on the site
– One more YouTube video with a link back MONDAY 13TH OCTOBER 2014 ALEXA RANKING  Not much done with the last update. I did some blog posts, I did apply for John Chow’s free ticket for the Affiliate Summit 2015 in Vegas by living a giant story with a link back to HypeFree, not sure if that does anything. But nothing more, the big thing that I am working on right now is A humungous blog post, it’s something I’m in a way doing undercover and documenting the progress. Then the party involved finishes their part in the affair I will publish the entire history of what went down. I’m interested to see if that huge blog post will affect the Alexa Rank.TUESDAY OCTOBER 14TH, 2014 ALEXA RANKINGSince last Alexa ranking check I did a Bing PPC campaign and did my regular blog and forum posts. My plans are (doesn’t mean I’ll get them all done, but this is what I’m shooting for):– Long post. I’m working on a new category for the site called How-to which will have detailed step by step instructions on how to do things. I’m writing one now so that should be done soon and posted.– Something that might go viral (or not, lets see). I stumbled on something very very interesting that I have been working on and will publish when it’s done and put out press releases. It’s disgusting in a way what this person is doing who I’m investigating and he is victimizing people but in a way it’s funny. There is no way to describe this but to show what happened and I can’t till it’s over, then I’ll release everything it’s 3000 words already in a draft post, the this will be huge tons of screenshots. I think if it gets shared it will help the Alexa ranking but that is a theory, lets wait and see.– Facebook. I’m going to add facebook fan page and put the facebook widget in the sidebar, not sure if it will help or not but I’ll give it a shot and see how it plays out.– Guest blog post. I need to figure out how that works and do one once in a while.– Kindle ebook. I have done a few for a test run, I need to take them down fix the problems and get them up but non exclusive and have the links pointing to the site at the front and back of the book. I think it could help the books do sell it’s not huge money but can help with Alexa ranking I think. And I need to start the next book as well.That’s what’s on my radar for now. I’ll give more updates soon when the Alexa Rank changes (hopefully for the better again). MONDAY OCTOBER 20TH, 2014 ALEXA RANKING Not much done I did one or 2 blog posts. I still haven’t published the 2 big ones but I’m hoping one of them today and I did more commenting. Looks like this is just a matter of staying active. Today I plan to ping the new blog post and put out a press release (or get a freelancer to do it for me).SUNDAY 26TH OF OCTOBER 2014 ALEXA RANKINGWow, close to 2 mil. Hopefully it gets under 2 millions soon! Did another post, one press release that was it. So not much done again. I think once I get a handle on some of the new Mobile CPA projects I’m working on I will do some SEO for HypeFree see if I can speed up the Alexa Ranking, but this little work seams to be working looks like if you just do anything it works, it’s just a matter of speed I guess.Monday 27th of October 2014 Alexa RankingFinally broke the 2 million Alexa mark! The Ghana Inheritance Scam LinkedIn investigation post is getting good traction. I’m even getting comments and 2 emails from the press release I did! [size=13px]I’ll keep updating so bookmark this page and visit often.[/size]
