I saw that the latest version available here is 6.9.

I bought this program some 3 years ago and found it incredibly useful to track conversions from my email campaigns.

Why I Use Adtrackz Gold In My Email Marketing

I don't do any affiliate marketing. What I do is sell my own products through my website and through email marketing. My email readers click a link on my email, from which they are taken to a salespage on my website. On the salespage they click an order button, which takes them to an external cart page (examples I've used in the past are ejunkie, clickbank, zaxaa, and getdpd). Once the payment is successful, the visitor is redirected back to a thank-you page on my website.

From what I remember, with Adtrackz Gold, you create a special Adtrackz Gold url, which you place in your email. You also place a tracking pixel on your conversion page. Every time the visitor clicks on that Adtrackz Gold link and ends up on the conversion page, the conversion is recorded within Adtrackz Gold's interface, so you know exactly WHICH email got you the sale!

The Reason Why I Stopped Using Adtrackz Gold

Adtrackz Gold is something you host on your own servers. I did a PHP update within my webhost's dashboard and it broke my Adtrackz Gold setup (it came up with some PHP error).

Then I suddenly realized that all of the links in my HUNDREDS OF EMAILS WERE NO LONGER WORKING!!!! This was a hell of a nightmare!!!

To this day, some 3 years later, I'm sure I still have some random Adtrackz Gold links out there somewhere on the web, or in some PDF book on someone's computer.

That's the problem with Adtrackz Gold links VS links with UTM tags. Adtrackz Gold links stop working when something happens to your Adtrackz installation. One way to help mitigate the damage is to use php redirect links in your emails and on your website, and to have the Adtrackz Gold links within those php files. That way, if something happens to your Adtrackz Gold installation, you know where all your links are, you don't have to change any emails, web pages, or PDF's, you just download all of your php redirect files, update the links in those files, and re-upload them.

But anyhow, my Adtrackz Gold installation randomly fixed itself so it's back up and running.

The Reason I'm Going To Start Using Adtrackz Gold Again TODAY

I need some way of accurately tracking sales from my emails.

The best and most accurate way to do this is to sign up for an all-in-one email and cart service, a full-on CRM, the likes of Ontraport, Zaxaa, and I think Infusionsoft does this too. You've also got some high-end stuff like Hubspot and Zoho (though I haven't used those last 3 and not sure if that's what they do).

The trouble with Ontraport is they're seriously expensive, some $300/month.

I'm currently using Zaxaa, which has a great shopping cart service for info products, but their email system isn't that great. Deliverability is kinda low, and for some reason I'm getting very few sales from my emails.

Now my problem is I'm using ConvertKit's email service (excellent email deliverability, expensive, but not as expensive as Ontraport) with Zaxaa's shopping cart service, and the two don't integrate.

How do I track people who go from my Convertkit emails to Zaxaa's shopping cart? I use Clicky as my website analytics tool, and with Clicky, just like with Google Analytics, you can use UTM tags in your email links, which will show you conversion info via goals. But this method of tracking seems rather hit'n miss, not everything seems to get tracked, I don't find it to be nearly as reliable as using Adtrackz Gold links in your emails.

Adtrackz Gold gets you this info (i.e. which email got you the sale) more accurately than using Google Analytics (or Clicky) UTM tagged links, so that's why I'll be going back to using Adtrackz Gold again today.

If you're an email tracking guru, and you sell your own products, it'd be great to know what email platform you are using, what cart software you use, and most importantly, how do you track your email conversions?

If you've got a better system in place than using Adtrackz Gold, I'm all ears!!!
